Beside the above-mentioned, there is a long list of names of those who have considerably given their contribution to the work of the Association and its member organizations.

It is impossible to list their name in such a short review, but their names can be found in the large archive material of the Association and their member organizations.

The role of the Association was always to unite the work of the organizations, and to co-ordinate the activities of different organizations in those sphere of life that have general importance for the City of Subotica and its citizens.

It is noteworthy, that the Association has co-ordinated the co-operation with similar organizations at home and at the neighbouring Hungary.

The activities of the member organizations of the Association were the most expressive at the 70s and 80s of the last century.

In those circumstances, the work of the member organizations of the Association was carried out by three employees.

Economic crisis, hyper inflation, the fall of SFRY, wars raging in the immediate surroundings have all resulted, that the activities of the organizations have decreased, some organizations have wounded up, some have existed only formaly, so the last decade of the 20th century has brought hard times.

Till recently, the Association could hardly ensure the necessary financial resources to hire one employee, who has carried out administrative and accounting tasks for the member organizations.

Only six years ago have conditions made to employ an organizational secretary for full time, beside the accountant.

Till the 90s of the last century, activities of the member organizations of the Association had been partly realized from the budget, and partly realized from the donations of economic organizations, like Sever, Zorka, Bratstvo, Suboticatrans, Agrokombinat, Pionir and many others.

Beside that, the necessary financial resources for the activities of the member organizations of the Association were ensured through voluntary donations (Association of Physicians and Health Workers) and publishing of periodicals ("Novi privrednik" and later "Udruženi rad" published by the Association of Economists).

One part of the resources were ensured by the membership-fees payed by members, until when the life standard of citizens have decresed to a level, that paying membership-fees became a big burden for the memebers.

During the economical difficulties at the 90s, the Association was looking for different ways to survive. In those efforts, the biggest help was provided by the Regional Chamber of Economy, and the possibility to rent part of the building, in order to ensure the minimum financial conditions for the realization of basic activities.

In that time, the Association has been supported by the Energetical Association, AET and Association of Accountants and Auditors which have obtained income from educational activities.
